Destiny of Britain – 2019

Many spiritually oriented people are not aware of just how serious the situation is in Britain. If Brexit or some other outcome occurs, other than staying in the European Union – it will have a negative impact upon the world as a whole, profoundly undermining the democratic system. If the UK remains in the EU, then a road to re-organisation of the entire EU lays open – with the potential of Britain being one of the main catalysts. The principle of democracy is at stake – in a nation that is the principal founder of modern democracy.”

(Phillip Lindsay, April 2019)

As Britain faces its perilous political and psychological crisis, a catalyst for a transition of power within the field of right relations between the nations of Europe as well as between America, Europe and the world at large, we can recognise a way forward by asking a question:

What is the plan or purpose for which the crisis serves? We see the polarised forces within the psyche of the nation, the concentration of wealth and power in the hands of a few set against the welfare of the people, yet what is their synthesis?

It has to do with a third transition of power. First from a ‘divine right’ to monarchy then to parliamentary democracy, and now as history shows just how power corrupts, from the State to the people. This is not power as we know it but the power or will-to-love, by people who are independent and free of the “pairs of opposites”, expressing a new synthesis. We may recognise it as the sovereignty of the one soul awakening in humanity.

Since 2001 we have seen the rise of authoritarianism and the so-called ‘far right’ in all nations, the erosion of constitutions and democratic principles. In Britain the principles of Western Law and government were defined and franchised around the world. From monarchy to the common man, they are being challenged as never before.

The first Parliament was conceived in 1215 (Magna Carta, origins of “Common Law of the Land”). The civil war of Britain (War of the Roses, 15th C.) began a transition of power from monarchy, and the ‘divine right of kingship’, to the landowners, the ‘landed gentry’ or upper class. The eventual outcome was the transfer of power entirely from monarchy to the institution of Parliamentary Members or MPs, who became the elected ‘representatives of the people’, the remnants of whom are today’s face of the politically controlling elite. Today, the government of one man, the Prime Minister, and his corporate strategists, seek to do away with Parliament, to subvert the democratic process in a dictatorial fashion in order to force the Brexit from Europe no matter the cost, and in effect undermine democracy not just in Britain but throughout the world.

“To make the point clear, there are factions in UK politics – notably the Conservatives – who want to be free of any sort of financial regulation, and who wish to be ‘allied’ with the banking interests in Wall Street, thus hopefully (in their minds) allowing them to do away with any hint of social democratic economics. This is the truth behind what they call, “Taking back control.” That would mean privatizing everything and allowing them to control totally the British economy. It would leave the door wide open to American corporations, put the British firmly in the orbit of the US, and it would be to the detriment of the British people. This, also in truth, is what is behind Brexit. The British public should beware.” – quote from Malvin Artley’s Leo/Sirius newsletter.

Today the war is on the mental-emotional plane. The nation is entirely polarised. Questions of power even include the Queen: Would she sack a Prime Minister should he refuse to step down in the face of a vote of no confidence? Yet the objective for the soul of the people is to make a conscious choice, a decision.

“Free-will pre-supposes common sense and conscious choice”, we are told by HT Laurency, the Swedish Philosopher. “If the individual is controlled by his impulses, then his choice is not free”. The materialists beguile the common man with their distortions and lies, while the free-thinkers and esotericists everywhere work to enlighten consciousness so that the man may think, intuit and choose rightly.

When choosing between the Law of reaping (karma) or the Law of destiny, HTL says, “Men seldom see these offers of life. When faced with the choice between two possibilities, they almost always choose wrong. Such a man he can hand over to the authorities of the law of reaping.”

Recent publicity from an opposition party.

It is the inner tension of such a crisis, not the taking of sides – they are the forces of polarisation – that is necessary for initiating a transition, for polarising the heart and soul of a nation, to bring about a synthesis and re-birth of consciousness. What the outcome will be, what it will look like and how it will work, we cannot know. Only that the power to love and to work out our destiny together with absolute conviction will be the result. Of course it involves all our nations. Britain will be a catalyst for a transition into a third age or stage of developing right relations by the people for the people of all nations.

Astrological Rays and Triangles:

London – Geneva – New York: Three planetary centres.

Britain is esoterically a Gemini and Ray 2 soul (Love-Wisdom) with a Taurus personality but its capital London is a Leo soul (Ray I) and Libra personality.

America is an Aquarian and Ray 2 soul with a Gemini personality. New York is ruled esoterically by that most sensitive of signs Cancer.

Geneva – 1st Ray Soul , Personality 2nd Ray, Sign Leo.

The second ray of Love-Wisdom is the soul ray of both Britain and the USA.

“The second ray is the only ray to pass through Gemini, imparting its basically loving disposition. Jupiter is the ruler of the second ray and ironically stands for truth.

“The Mystery of the Lion and the Unicorn (Britain’s esoteric coat of arms). This secret is preserved for us in the ancient nursery rhyme about the “lion and the unicorn going up to town,” (Shamballa) and contains in a peculiar way the secret of initiation and the “going up” of the human being to the portal of admittance into the Hierarchy as well as the “mystic raising” of which Masonry holds the key.

This deals with the emergence of the consciousness of the initiate (white and one-pointed) and the defeat of the king of beasts (the personality) leading to the triumph of group and world consciousness, of selflessness and illumination over self-consciousness and selfishness. In the true rendition of this ancient myth the king of beasts is blinded and killed by the piercing of his eye and heart by the long horn of the unicorn.

Like all zodiac signs, Leo has a lower and higher expression – the “beast” of the lower self or – the powerful and magnanimous ruler who presides over a “kingdom” – which can be anything from the personality or one’s field of service, to a nation or the planet as a whole.

With London as a Leo soul and Libra personality, the phrase “rule of law” comes to mind– rule (Leo) and law (Libra). London’s Leo soul is expressed by Britain ruling over its empire out to all the farther reaches of the globe. European colonialism – despite some of its clumsy and tragic outcomes, was definitely part of the Planetary Plan, in linking all cultures and races into a planetary consciousness.”
